Ad Lucem Micro Cement Applicator
Idea Creations Atelier is the home of Ad Lucem® micro cement training, delivering structured, hands-on courses designed to build technical confidence and professional capability.
Training focuses on correct preparation, system knowledge, site techniques and processes, finishing methods, and troubleshooting, delivered in a fully hands-on environment that mirrors on-site conditions.
Upon successful completion, participants become accredited Ad Lucem® applicators, recognised for their ability to correctly apply Ad Lucem® micro cement systems in line with professional standards.
Ad Lucem® systems are developed in accordance with recognised European technical standards, including UPEC performance classifications, with clearly defined preparation, application, and system build-ups to ensure consistent, reliable outcomes.
Why Ad Lucem?
Ad Lucem® micro cement is a millimetric mineral system developed by Ad Lucem Matières (France) and recognised by professional applicators for its technical reliability and refined architectural finish. Tested to UPEC performance standards, Ad Lucem® systems are engineered for demanding environments and have been successfully used in Australian conditions for decades. Widely specified in high-end residential and commercial projects across Australia, France, and Europe, Ad Lucem® is trusted for its durability, consistency, and professional application.
What is UPEC?
UPEC is one of Europe’s most rigorous performance classification systems, assessing material durability in real-world conditions:
U — Wear resistance
P — Load and impact resistance
E — Water resistance
C — Chemical resistance
Compliance with UPEC places Ad Lucem® among the highest-performing mineral decorative systems in Europe.
Natural Oxide Pigmentation
Ad Lucem® micro cement is coloured using natural mineral oxides, integrated directly into the mortar rather than applied as a surface layer.
This results in:
Stable, UV-resistant colour
Subtle natural tonal variation
A refined mineral appearance without a plastic or resin-heavy look
The colour becomes part of the material itself, ensuring depth, longevity, and authenticity.
A Clear Point of Difference
Lucem Choc® is a true mineral micro cement system that clearly differentiates from epoxy-based or resin-heavy microcements.
It delivers:
A genuine mineral aesthetic
Greater visual depth and natural texture
Finishes aligned with architectural expectations, not mass-market coatings
